Gingerbread COVID-19 support

Gingerbread
At Gingerbread, we think single parents do a brilliant job.
Gingerbread is a charity and the vital support we give to single parent families would not be possible without our generous supporters.
We provide advice and practical support for single parents.
Expert advisers answer our helpline, this website is packed full of useful information and we offer training too.
We also campaign to improve the lives of all single parent families.
And because we’re a national charity, it’s all free.
We have 95 years’ experience of working with single parent families - from the days when our key campaigning activity was to reform the “bastardy laws”, right through to 2013, where single parents head up a quarter of British families but still face big challenges
Coronavirus update 15/4/2020
You should contact your group coordinator for updates, but it is reasonable to assume that most, if not all, Gingerbread groups will not be having meet ups for the foreseeable future.
Many Gingerbread coordinators are encouraging communication through WhatsApp and Facebook as an alternative way for single parents to stay in touch with each other. Please be aware that our group coordinators are volunteers and that they are being inundated with messages, so please be understanding if they aren’t able to respond to you right away.
You can also talk with other single parents online on the Gingerbread forum.
