Paston Ridings School

Paston Ridings School

Paston Ridings Primary School has been in existence since September 1994 and is an amalgamation of the old Infant and Junior Schools. We have the capacity for 420 pupils with 14 classrooms, two halls, a computer suite and a separate library area. The school also has its own swimming pool and substantial grounds.

During your child’s time with us we will aim to provide a supportive and caring atmosphere as well as a creative learning environment in which they can thrive. It is important that children enjoy school and to that end, we seek to work closely with our parents to support our aims. The school has fostered an ’open door’ policy for all parents and carers and we are confident that by working in partnership we can ensure our pupils make the most of the opportunities we can offer them.

At Paston Ridings, we believe that learning is the essential building block for life, which gives us the confidence to reach our full potential with no limits.

We, as a community, strive to encourage and inspire children to have an endless thirst for learning and belief in themselves.

We pride ourselves in recognising, respecting and celebrating ourselves and each other as integral parts of the Paston community.

Local Offer

We aim to provide a learning environment that caters for the wide range of abilities and needs of all our children.  We support and encourage the children in the development of their full potential in all aspects of their work and the activities that the school offers.

Children are regularly assessed and when appropriate specific needs are incorporated into Individual Education or Behaviour Plans.  These are reviewed termly and parents are encouraged to be part of this review process.  All classes are allocated Teaching Assistant time to support the needs of particular individuals or groups and when appropriate we will work with other outside agencies to provide support of a specific nature.
