Glinton Friendship Club COVID-19 support
We aim to promote the welfare, recreation, interests and enjoyment of over 60 year olds that live in Glinton and the surrounding villages. The club meets weekly in the village hall on a Monday from 10am to 2pm and a cooked lunch is provided by our volunteers. We enjoy games, entertainment, speakers and also organise outings throughout the year to local places of interest.
Coronavirus update 20/4/2020
The Friendship Club is not currently meeting up due to the coronavirus outbreak. However, our volunteers are ringing various members every day or two, to make sure they are all right, and if they need anything such as shopping, prescriptions fetching etc. Our volunteers are very happy to do this, and the members also keep in regular contact with each other, so everyone is getting plenty of company, albeit it over the telephone. Each volunteer is allocated their own list of members and details, this makes life very easy to do. Everyone is really uplifted by the support they are giving to one another.
