The Blind Bowls Club

This friendly group of bowlers meet every two weeks for the sport and the good company. They are always keen to attract new bowlers (with or without experience) so why not come along and give it a try. Equipment and advice will be available to help you get started. Sighted guides will be on hand to help, or your are welcome to bring a friend to guide you on the playing area (At these sessions, only people with visual impairment are allowed to bowl). As you progress, there are competitions to aim for and occasional away matches.
The Bowls Centre has both indoor and outdoor facilities so bowling can take place all year round . There are nine indoor rinks and an Outdoor green, which accommodate all levels of play, from coaching of beginners, both adults and juniors to internationals.
The centre has a fully licensed bar which also sells various bar snacks and there are a variety of vending machines selling crisps, chocolate and soft drinks. There is also a disabled toilet and ramp access throughout.
