Railworld/Wildlife Haven

It is an award winning volunteer environmental project that spans both sides of the River Nene.
We have a model railway, a Garden Railway, an Education and Exhibition Centre, and a Habitat creation programme with our Wildlife Haven for you to enjoy.
We have plenty for you to see, from a 140 tonne Danish Pacific 996 steam engine in the process of restoration, to the world's first 100MPH hover train, RTV31.
We have exhibitions about the 996 and RTV31, so you can find out more about these interesting machines.
We have models and excavations of the 1885 LNWR locomotive shed that formally occupied Railworld's south site, and other smaller interactive model railways to enjoy.
In the Globe Hall Brian Sharpe's 'Steam on the Main Line' films are shown throughout the day and slides of Andrew Ingrams - Peterborough in the Days of Steam.
