The Armed Forces Covenant

The Covenant is a promise between the nation, the government and the Armed Forces community, ensuring that those who serve, and have served, in the Armed Forces and their families, are treated fairly and are not disadvantaged by their service.

The community covenant signed by Cambridgeshire Local Authorities in 2011 is our commitment to our Armed Forces Community.

The Covenant covers all serving personnel, regular and reservists, and their families. Bereaved families, veterans and cadet adult volunteers.

The covenant promotes fair access to a wide range of services from;

· Education

· Housing

· Health

· Mental Health

· Employment

· Transition

· Family support

· Criminal Justice

· Welfare

· Community and support to tackle Social Isolation

Work is ongoing through the Covenant Development project to launch a signposting App for the county and more details will follow in this regard. For now details of national services can be found on the Veterans Gateway.
