To help and advise before & after the operation. £10.00 per year.
Selected members of the Urostomy Association, who are appropriately trained and CRB checked, are available to visit members on request. They can visit either in hospital or in the privacy of the member's home.
Problems such as welfare, social, relationship and housing are examples of the subjects that can be discussed.
We aim to allay any apprehension a patient may have and to give encouragement and moral support in helping the patient return to a normal mode of living after the operation.
On receiving a request for a home or hospital visit we will endeavour to match the patient's gender and medical history to that of one of our trained visitors.
To request a visit please contact our National Secretary, Hazel Pixley. She can be telephoned at our Central Office on
0845 2412159 or emailed at firstname.lastname@example.org
