John Clare Theatre
The John Clare Theatre is on the first floor of the Central Library building on Broadway, and seats 142 people.
It’s an intimate, pleasant venue.
There is street parking available near the library, and a multi-storey car park opposite the Passport Office, in Northminster Road.
Disabled filmgoers are welcome; there is space for three wheelchairs.
There is car parking for disabled drivers at the side of the library.
Automatic doors allow easy access and there is a lift off the foyer to the theatre.
The theatre is equipped with toilet facilities for disabled people and an induction loop system for those with hearing difficulties.
Peterborough Arts Cinema is based at the John Clare Theatre, and is an independant cinema dedicated to bringing non-mainstream films to film lovers in Peterborough.
It Is run by a committed group of volunteers on a non-profit making basis and started out as the Peterborough Film Society in April 1947.
