With over 20 years's experience, Goldhay Arts has been providing a quality service for adults (age 18 and above) with learning difficulties with an emphasis on personal development through experience of the performing and visual arts. Our weekly Music, Dance, Drama & Visual Art sessions (Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays) are designed to aid; Muscle memory, Independent living, hand-eye coordination, rhythm and movement, brain stimulation, creative thinking, controlling moving, integration into wider community, improvisation and inclusion, group/team working, keeping fit and healthy, social and personal development and participation in the arts. Our Friday Access Team is for more independent adults with disabilities who are able to travel independently by bus or walking. As a member of our Access Team, you should know how to keep safe out into the community and be able to get help and advice when necessary. This team offers the following skills development: Community outings, refresher bus training, cooking sessions, independent living skills development, money / numeracy / budgeting training, support to find work placements / jobs, social and personal skills development, support to plan and run events, support to plan group activity sessions, learning marketable skills and keeping fit and healthy.
